This position provides Honda Canada with support and direction for day-to-day operations to ensure 100% compliance for all products imported into Canada. This position also works directly with government agencies (Environment Canada, Transport Canada, Statistics Canada) and other Honda companies. This role supports all divisions in ad hoc activities such as high-level analysis, and any Trade Compliance related inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure EDI CCIs sent to and processed by the Customs broker from all Honda divisions balance
- Ensure all information on CCIs is correct including value, H.S. classification, date of direct shipment, etc.
- Ensure EDI B3s sent to and processed by the Customs broker from all Honda divisions balance
- Review daily reports
- Review B3 “Work in Progress” file to ensure B3s are sent to Cadex within specified time limits
- Review outstanding shipments monthly to ensure they are reported to Customs within legislated time frames
- Go through FedEx and UPS portals and approve shipments, extracting V type entries
- Send V type entries to broker with relevant information (including correct tariff, tariff code, etc) and ensure they are processed within required time limits
- Assist other departments with importing and exporting goods by providing correct HS codes and forms
- Complete quarterly Statistics Canada pricing report
- Review & apply/upload Free Trade Agreement certificates to relevant divisions (Parts & Auto)
- Preparation & submission of X type entries
- Other duties as assigned (C-TPAT, PIP)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year experience in a high volume setting
- CCS certified
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Strong PC skills, especially Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands
- Good problem-solving skills
- Familiar with CSA, C-TPAT & PIP
