POSITION TITLE: Data Analyst
REPORTS TO: Supervisor – Data & Analytics
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Data Analyst will play a key supporting role in preparing and analyzing customer data to enable targeted marketing campaigns and improve customer engagement. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a curious mindset, and a passion for turning data into meaningful insights. The role involves gathering and organizing data, identifying patterns in customer behavior, and collaborating with marketing and retention teams to shape effective communication strategies. Success in this role requires foundational technical skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to present findings in a clear and actionable way.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management & Stewardship
•
Collect, organize, and maintain large datasets from internal and external sources.
•
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems and platforms.
•
Act as a Data Steward using IBM MDM solutions to enforce governance and stewardship best practices.
•
Data Cleaning & Processing
•
Apply techniques to clean and standardize raw data.
•
Maintain, monitor, and verify the accuracy of customer data across multiple system and platforms.
•
Manage customer segments based on business requirements to optimize engagement.
•
Analytics & Insights
•
Identify and source relevant data from internal and external systems to enhance analytical capabilities.
•
Collaborate with various teams to gather diverse datasets that inform meaningful insights.
•
Perform data analysis to support business decisions.
•
Reporting & Visualization
•
Create dashboards and reports across business units.
•
Continuously review reports for accuracy and recommend enhancements.
•
Deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
•
Collaboration & Communication
•
Work closely with business, technology, and management teams to define objectives and deliver insights.
•
Support cross-functional initiatives with data-driven recommendations.
•
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
•
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and analytics best practices.

Evaluate and uphold customer data security policies and compliance standards.

Project & Ad Hoc Support
•
Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
•
Respond to immediate business requests for data analysis and reporting.
POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
•
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
•
2+ years of professional experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar role.
•
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and at least one data analysis or visualization tool (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong/expert SQL skills (preferably in IBM DB2)
•
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
•
Experience with direct marketing, CRM, segmentation, and experimental design.
•
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings for non-technical audiences.
•
Technological documentation development experience.
•
