POSITION TITLE: IT Quality Assurance (QA) Tester – Telematics
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Connected Telematics
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The IT QA will be responsible for focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of telematics systems, which integrate telecommunications and information technologies in vehicles. This role involves testing software, hardware, and the overall system to ensure it meets performance standards and user expectations
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Develop and execute test plans and cases to identify defects and performance issues, using both manual and automated testing methods.
•
Identify, document, and track software defects, providing detailed information for developers to address.
•
Test Plan, Test Cases & Defect Management list.
•
Evaluate software performance, including speed, stability, and usability, to ensure a positive user experience.
•
Work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
•
Improved software quality, Timely closure of defects.
•
Maintain accurate records of test cases, results, and defect reports, ensuring a clear audit trail.
•
Research and implement new testing techniques, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•
Project process & compliance documentation.
•
Improve test techniques for better efficiency.
POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
•
College – Computer Science program
•
University – Computer Science degree program
•
2 years of relevant experience
•
Ability to execute project testing following Agile or Waterfall methodologies
•
Understanding of Office 365 tools
•
Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence & Zepher
•
