What is this opportunity?

 

The RBC Employer Brand team manages our global reputation, employer awards and the stories we tell about what it means to work at RBC. The focus of this role will be through two bodies of work.

  1. Employer Awards – assist in the identification, coordination and project management of marketplace award submissions. 
  2. Assist in the curation, production and editing of employer brand content on internal and external channels. (Including but not limited to photography, articles, blog posts, video production)

 

What will you do?

As an Employer Brand Associate, you’ll help shape how we share the story of what it feels like to work at RBC. One of the ways we do this is through our presence in employer of choice awards.

  • Help with the research and coordination of employer brand related data for surveys and submissions.
  • Work with different stakeholders to manage timelines of submissions and content revisions.
  • Review and proof submission/story content for updated and accurate information.
  • Source interesting employee stories to be profiled with certain awards.

 

You will also be responsible for coordinating employer brand related content for internal and external channels.

  • Managing and sorting existing content to catalogue and search employer brand photography
  • Assist with the development of stories for publications – sourcing employees, permissions and scheduling interviews.
  • Planning the content calendar for employer brand stories in conjunction with recruitment marketing, diversity and inclusion or other HR initiatives.

 

What do you need to succeed?

  • Passion for writing and communicating in an impactful and meaningful way – bringing ideas to life
  • A thorough understanding of the target audience and maintaining the right tone of voice while writing copy
  • Familiarity with developing social media content with an understanding of best practices, content ownership, restrictions, and analytics
  • Expert writing skills, editing and proof reading abilities.
  • Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across
  • Creative thinker with strong visualization skills
  • Passion for shooting and editing video content – bringing ideas to life through film
  • Familiarity with developing social media content with an understanding of best practices, content ownership, restrictions, and analytics
  • Experience in working for social media marketing or having a personal vlog/video portfolio
  • Experience taking long form video into shorter ‘bite-size’ videos and playlists that are high impact
  • Strong level of technical and creative design knowledge       
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
