What is the opportunity?
The Project Control Officer is responsible for supporting multiple projects’ coordination/administration functions, financial management, and reporting at the project and portfolio levels. They will support the Project Managers in ensuring schedules are accurately developed and maintained, and resources are managed.
What will you do?
Monitor project activities and track progress against the project plan and schedule.
Ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigating strategies.
Create financial reports for the regular Steering Committee and support ad-hoc requests.
Manage and maintain portfolio/project documents, SharePoint sites and online dashboards.
Support weekly/monthly processes such as status reports, invoice reconciliation and payments, timesheet validation, and portfolio reporting.
Support the Portfolio Manager and Project Management team with ad-hoc activities such as scheduling meetings, governance artifacts and onboarding/offboarding tasks etc.
Contribute to project communications including meeting minutes and action item logs.
Support the project staff by facilitating project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, etc.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
2-3 years of Project Control Officer or Project Management Associate experience at a financial institution.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
Experience with managing total financials on a program, project, or portfolio larger than $10MM.
Experience with managing portfolio/project financials, resource allocations, and consolidated project/portfolio schedules.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.

Experience working in software project management environments
Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, finance, accounting, business management or a related field an asset.
Experience working with financial forecasting and project tools MIS, Planview, Tableau, Confluence, JIRA
Experience managing a work package on a project an asset.
