Job Description:

Process and Reconciliation:

  • Process transactions in Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS) upon requests from assigned Borrowers or their Agents for advances, rollovers, conversions,  repayments or upon receipt of loan trading settlement instructions from Loan Trading Middle Office via Electronic Loan Trading Application (ELTA); Ensure notice and limit requirements are met, rates are set, and payments are made in accordance with the relevant Agent Notice, Credit Agreement,  Electronic Transaction Request and Funding Memo.
  • Process/reconcile interest and fee transactions in ACBS as required by the Credit Agreement
  • Input or verify information in payment systems, as required for payments which cannot be processed through ACBS.
  • Act as a backup to other Analysts across Lending Services.
  • Preconcile interest and fee transactions in ACBS as required by the Credit Agreement
  • Input or verify information in payment systems, as required for payments which cannot be processed through ACBS.
  • Act as a backup to other Analysts across Lending Services.
  • Investigate breaks on various control reports/internal accounts on a daily basis and input comments where required
  • Complete assigned courses on Workday
  • Identify any gaps in processes and provide detailed recommendations to the Manager for consideration; assist with the implementation of process changes.

Where required under the scope of the job mandate;

1) process secondary assignments upon requests for assigned Borrowers in accordance with established guidelines.

2) Where instructed, notify syndicate of pricing and limit changes as required by the Credit Agreement and within established time frames.

3) Create and obtain EUC approval for manual spreadsheets as necessary, to record all transactions and calculations that cannot be processed in ACBS

4) Maintain a series of Word templates with up-to-date standard instructions to be used as needed for notifications, letters and fax coversheets

5) Manage and monitor accounts requiring special handling – Special Loans Accounts/Daily Cash Sweep Accounts/Construction- Real Estate accounts
Assist with the daily reconciliation of the internal, Chase or nostro accounts by following up for missing or excess funds.

Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word
  • ACBS, BESS, RFT, RIMMS, CID
  • Strong knowledge of lending products, rate-setting methods, payment methods and loan trading process.

  • Excellent attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, and dependability.
  • Ability to respond effectively to requests from Borrowers, syndicate participants, or loan trading counterparties as applicable to RBC’s role, especially for accommodations which fall outside the parameters of the Credit Agreement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
