Role and Responsibilities:
Support Senior Trade Specialists by assisting in post LC issuance maintenance.
Process simple LC amendments and cancellations forwarded by Senior Trade Specialists.
Monitor and followup with clients for system billed LC fees which remain unpaid.
Process LC fee payments received and reconcile various RBC accounts so there are no aged items.
Investigate and reconcile fees and account balances where it is not as expected.
Ensure LC system accurately reflects the upto date LC position & fee rates by updating as necessary.
Process SWIFT & Fedwire payments to Correspondent Banks as claimed and post receivables.
Respond professionally to client and RBC staff inquiries.
Exercise due diligence by following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
Set up customer, fee rate and guarantee/SBLC records in Trade 360 to ensure that the input is error free.
Ensure Chase, Nostro, Internal Accounts and Adjustment Suspense is actioned daily and there are no aged items without documented explanation.
Technology/Software Knowledge:
Great computer skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft office and Acrobat are required. Knowledge of payments systems such as SWIFT and Fed Wire is an asset.
Training for other RBC applications will be provided.
Graduate degree (Accounting or related degree) is preferred
MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Acrobat
Driven nature with ability to learn quickly is required.
Organizational, time management and problem solving skills are essential to work
Skills and Education:
Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) designation.
Previous work in an accounts payable/receivable role.
French language knowledge.
Previous Bank work experience would be an asset.
Knowledge of payment systems such as SWIFT and Fed Wire is an asset.
