Brinks Canada has an immediate opportunity for a Payroll Administrator based out of their Canadian Head Office in Mississauga. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the incumbent will be responsible for administering weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for our Western Region hourly employees.
This role also will be accountable for the entire payroll administration and month end processes, while ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- To process payroll for 500+ employees across Western Canada
- Input changes, new information for employees and mid-cycle payroll calculations
- Transmit payroll and receive/import information using PeopleSoft
- Import hours from Kronos Workforce Central to PeopleSoft
- Provide support to branches, update vacation and sick accruals
- Verify all payroll data, changes and prepare manual cheques
- Use PeopleSoft and ADP to produce ad-hoc reports
- Process cheque requests for Union dues, Garnishments, DC contributions, Workers Compensation & other remittances as required
- Preparing monthly payroll account reconciliations and journal entries
- Complete ROE’s
- Provide support to the Field for Kronos training Periodically assist with testing for system upgrades
- Year-End processes including balancing, reconciling and preparing Year End Adjustments for T4’s
