The Finance Operations (FinOps) Center, is an integral part of the bank Finance, delivering finance services with a commitment to operational excellence.

The Bank Finance is an integral and trusted partner to businesses across the Bank, made-up of diverse teams, strengths and capabilities contributing to TD’s overall success. Together, the bank Finance helps the Bank make smart business decisions, ensure regulatory compliance and financial reporting accuracy and guard the integrity of banks business processes, drive efficiencies with external suppliers and manage banks global real estate portfolio.

Our core Finance teams help to make the bank the Better Bank by working together to deliver insightful advice, meaningful reporting and professional operations The  Finance operating model.

Job Description:  

The position will encompass a range of responsibilities in respect of the management reporting and analysis for the bank. Key accountabilities include:

Provide financial analysis and/or advanced general finance / accounting or related operational support as assigned
Analyze financial performance against benchmarks and reconcile variances and/or research and explain findings to department or business management
Support the collection of meaningful data and/or research, coordinating efforts with various finance areas
Act as a key Finance Support specialist for own functional unit by providing technical subject matter expertise / analysis or operational process support
Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate
Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge/expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

Job Requirements:

Colleagues in this intermediate level position typically require 3-5 years of knowledge or experience with:

• Strong technical accounting & reporting skills

• Analytical

• Detail oriented

• Excel

Beneficial, but not required experiences and skills include:

• Audit or banking background

While experience and ability are often prioritized, colleagues in these roles often have the following education or accreditation:

• Undergraduate degree such as finance, accounting, economics, statistics, business administration or commerce

• CPA designation (or working towards)
