Position: Business Development Specialist/Representative
Department: Business Development
Reports to: CEO/President
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Job Type: 6 months contract
Job Overview
The Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in driving Career Edge's growth by developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients, supporting the CEO/President in strategic initiatives, and contributing to the overall business development strategy. This position requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with exceptional communication and networking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach to potential clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Support the CEO/President in strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for potential clients.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Career Edge and expand its reach.
Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client meetings, and sales pipeline progress.
Assist in the development and implementation of business development strategies and goals.
Ensure alignment with Career Edge's mission, values, and diversity and inclusion goals.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong networking abilities and a proactive approach to relationship-building.
Experience working with diverse and underrepresented talent is an asset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
