Job Description:

As part of the Business Services Team (BST), reporting to the Canadian Talent Manager, the Staffing Intern is responsible for supporting Canada Talent Management team in several functional areas.  This position will primarily be lending support to the Staffing function, to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and expanding business.  This role requires the use of several BCG systems including our staffing tools and databases.  The Staffing Intern will work closely with our staff mostly in the Toronto office.

 

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Staffing team with the Canadian vacation process:
  • Answer the consulting staff vacation requests, leveraging the talent management team when necessary in the decision making process
  • Update the Canadian vacation tracker and SAM (Staffing and More, the staffing tool), accordingly
  • Support the Staffing team with maintaining staffing data:
  • Update the consulting staff assignments in SAM (Staffing and More, the staffing tool)
  • Support the staffing team with any other ad’hoc tasks around data / tools maintenance

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and outlook
  • Ability to prioritize, work within a complex matrix organization, and manage upward to more than one supervisor
  • Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and sense of ownership of overall objectives
  • Previous experience in another consulting firm, within a staffing function, considered an asset, but not a requirement

*Please note that this is a 20 hour role, with potential for additional hours based on business needs.
