POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of the Business Services Team (BST), reporting to the CDC Lead, the CDC Intern is responsible for supporting Canada local-office Career Development in several functional areas. This position will primarily be lending support to the Career Development function, to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and expanding business.
Career Development encompasses the core performance management processes for our Consulting Team, including:
• Project-based downward feedback
• Upward feedback for team managers
• Feedback Foundations experience enabling a development-focused start for new Associates and Consultants
• Twice-yearly holistic assessment by the Career Development Committee (CDC)
• Enablement of CD Advisors and team leaders to deliver rich ongoing developmental conversations and experiences throughout the BCG journey
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support operations to deliver an excellent Career Development (CD) experience to our Consulting Team (CT) staff and CD stakeholders.
Maintain/manage feedback data:
- Collaborate with Talent Managers to ensure reviews in Workday accurately reflect case assignments and timelines for the Canada consulting team
- Leverage Workday reporting to audit downward and upward feedback for all CAN based CT staff
- Assist with targeted follow ups on outstanding project reviews and upward feedback
- Review employee profiles in Workday/CD for completeness
Track Feedback Foundations participants’ data:
- Maintain Feedback Foundations tracker for the Canada consulting team, updating all case experiences of active participants
- Assist with targeted follow ups on outstanding project reviews and upward feedback
- Coordinate with CD BST and Talent team on timing of Feedback Foundations participants’ transition to traditional evaluation
- Weekly notifications to Feedback Foundations Managers
- Additional Duties
- Other ad-hoc requests as appropriate
CORE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge of principles, procedures, and practices of Human Resources
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of HRIS considered an asset, but not a requirement
- Previous experience in Human Resources capacity considered an asset, but not a requirement
- Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and sense of ownership of overall objectives
- Ability to prioritize, work within a complex matrix organization, and manage upward to more than one supervisor
