About your Role  
 
Responsibilities

• Support sustainable recruiting strategy based on company growth goals and needs

• Support the growth of Comtech through sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring new employees

• Develop talent acquisition strategies that support the short and long-term goals of the organization and attract new qualified applicants 

• Support the Talent Acquisition team in sourcing passive candidates

• Communicate with Talent Acquisition Specialist on daily focuses and provide regular updates on progress as it relates to searching resume databases for the best suited candidates

• Use multi channel approach to recruit and build talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates 

• Track key recruiting KPIs - Maintain a complete record of department KPI’s including sourcing efforts, interviews and new hires 

Conduct applicant pre-screens to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. Present the Talent Acquisition Specialist with the best suited applicants to progress to the Interview stage

• Prepare team reports daily/weekly for the tasks completed or in progress

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert, as it relates to the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring all applications are uploaded, applicant notes are captured and run reports on daily/weekly team activities

• Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers and universities boards

• Perform reference checks

• Ensure that the necessary resources for the interview are booked, such as meeting rooms with the appropriate facilities for Video Conference, Presentations, etc. 

Qualifications Required 

• 3-5 years applicable experience

• Previous recruitment experience considered a strong asset 

• Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline

• Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems is considered an asset

• Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Competitive spirit with a high level of self-motivation and drive

• Experience working in a team environment with the ability to self-motivate and understand sense of urgency

• People-person who enjoys networking and excels at relationship building

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced skills in Excel)
