Maple Terrazzo, Marble & Tile Incorporated is a second generation family-owned business established in 1967. Since that time we have become one of Canada’s leading importer and fabricator of the world’s finest marble, granite and quartz in the industry. We specialize in custom fabrication and installation of marble, granite and quartz utilizing state of the art manufacturing equipment including computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Breton computerized bridge saws, edge polishers along with the Comandulli and robotic technology.
Maple Terrazzo’s current head office operation is based in Bolton, Ontario, Canada, just 20 minutes north of Toronto, in our technologically advanced facility consisting of 118,000 square feet with 40,000 square feet of stone storage yard. We employ in excess of 200 people.
The Role
We are curretnly looking for a Production Supervisor in our Stoneworx Division. Stoneworx focuses on the fabrication and installation of Granite, Marble, and quartz counter tops for various applications, but predominantly kitchen counter tops. Our clientele would include new and custom home builders, contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, big box stores, and Interior designers.
Desired Skills:
- Acts as liaison between our manufacturing facility and the office project coordinators
- Keep track of production logs, with estimated time of completion for purposes of installation
- Track production activity with respect to monthly square footage manufactured
- Track damaged material and re-makes due to production errors monthly
- Track shop personnel re: absenteeism, injuries, early and safe return to work programs (where applicable)
- Head up our Health and Safety Committee and chair monthly meetings
- Prepare all Purchase Orders for materials purchased and for all repairs to equipment
- Ensure our trucks are maintained and that proper logs are being maintained by the drivers
- Prepare all WSIB forms for injuries, such as Form 7 and address all communications from WSIB related thereto
- Better than average computer skills would be a definite advantage as we are automating our shop with bar coding and job tracking devices
