As part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) office, under the Office of the CAO, the DEI intern will support and help coordinate DEI events and activities. This is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including project management, program design and communications.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support in the project management of DEI-related programs and activities across the organization and in the community
Support the rollout of DEI programs and activities including, but not limited to: training, diversity calendar celebrations, internal diversity audit and collaboration with external partners
Support the development of DEI Programs, including research, administration and presentation materials
Support and build a DEI community asset map and source for partnering opportunities
Provide administrative support to the roll out phase of the Diversity Action Plan
Support in the development of communications and engagement for DEI work by working collaboratively with corporate communications and other departments

Demonstrated interest or previous inclusion experience is considered an asset

Enrolment or recent post-secondary graduate in programs related to
Social Work, Organizational behaviour, Human Rights, Equity studies, Community Development, Social studies, Psychology and other similar Human Services education.
PowerPoint and MS office skills are an asset

When you start, as COVID-19 restrictions continue to change, you will have the option to work remotely from home, or from the office only when required to do so.
The office is open and available for who choose to go into the office for independent or collaborative work, subject to adherence to our vaccination and mask policies. We are continuously evolving our onsite return strategy in alignment with our hybrid approach to work and are committed to updating staff as our plans evolve.
