Reporting to the National Director of Talent Marketing & Acquisition, you will be responsible for regional full-cycle recruitment within CBI Home Health (Durham Region) with a focus on the timely sourcing and hiring of quality candidates through innovative recruitment strategies, while maintaining reasonable costs in the hiring process. You can do it all: from building relationships with local educational institutions to build a healthy talent pipeline to tracking and reporting on industry trends and other recruitment analytics. This will enable you, as Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist, to attract and retain the best and most effective talent that will uphold CBI’s corporate values and mission while ensuring we meet our business goals and, ultimately, deliver the best client experience.

 

The What/How of the role:

As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:

Partner with hiring managers to ensure role clarity and expectations when recruiting
Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to understand the recruitment needs
Source talent by building networks and cultivating relationships within talent networks to find qualified and “great fit” candidates
Identify hard-to-fill roles and source innovative channels for recruitment while building a talent pipeline
Schedule, conduct and score phone and face-to-face candidate interviews, interpret assessment results when required
Ensure that management is trained on the recruitment toolbox process and understands its role within it
Share subject matter expertise as it relates to the role and market to the Hiring Manager
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at local schools, colleges and universities, and participate in career fairs, job fairs, etc., to promote CBI as an employer of choice, increase talent brand awareness, and provide information about opportunities available
Develop recruitment reports and trends in recruitment as it relates to the segment supported
Provide talent analytics, tracking candidate pipelines, quality of hire, time to fill metrics as requested

 

What we are looking for:

To take on the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist, you have:

A university degree or college diploma in a related field
Bring a strong understanding of recruitment in a high volume environment, backed by related experience
Must be able to travel between Durham Region offices
Demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and resources
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as reflected in the ability to network in person and online
Be detail-oriented, proactive and tech savvy
