Job Description:

Entr is a platform created to enable planners to scale by providing them with an extremely rich marketplace of event spaces. We have layered on an automated concierge service that allows planners to book everything they need for an event (think catering, furniture, and entertainment) all in one place - for free. Entr already works with over 80 companies across Canada, such as; PwC, BMO, L’Oreal, Google, Samsung & Airbnb.

You will support the team with the day-to-day operations, as well as contribute to long-term funding strategy and building reporting tools to be shared with stakeholders. Important parts of the job will be to manage cash flow, invoicing, reports to stakeholders, and other day-to-day operations such as payroll, bookkeeping, etc.

We are looking for a meticulous and diligent individual who has demonstrated success in executing projects within a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.


  • Manage payroll, bills, and invoices;

  • Negotiate terms with suppliers and customers;

  • Banking operations:

  • Process weekly banking reconciliations;

  • Oversee credit card management and reporting; and

  • Initiate payments to suppliers or government authorities.

  • Accounts receivables and payables:

  • Preparing customer invoices and following up on accounts;

  • Monthly sales recognition and reconciliation;

  • Determining credit restrictions/terms when necessary.

  • Recording supplier's invoices after verifying receipt and agreement with -purchase orders;

  • Recording transactions to general ledger;

  • Review and reimbursement of expense reports; and

  • Remitting all government payables (GST, HST, QST, DAS, income tax, etc).

  • Payroll oversight and coordination:

  • Overseeing payroll service provider;

  • Liaising with human resources to ensure the accuracy of data;

  • Reporting to government authorities (Emploi Quebec, CNESST, WSIB etc.).

Other special projects:

  • Assist the Director, Finance & Administration with month-end reviews;


  • An organized person capable of setting up structures and methodologies;

  • Autonomy, initiative, and flexibility are essential;

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting and operations;

  • Extremely organized and methodical with impeccable attention to detail;

  • Past startup experience is a plus!


  • Great writing capacities

  • Mastering of Microsoft Excel and Word;

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Quickbooks or Freshbooks);

  • Communication abilities both in English and French
