HR Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Support HR team in various integration workstreams by carrying out project plan updates, employment letter verifications, employee communication plan and coordinating employee sessions.
- Draft letters of employment, position change letters and other HR correspondence.
- Support Talent Acquisition team to schedule and coordinate interviews, send candidate communications, assist in applicant screening, complete new hire paperwork, onboarding requirements.
- Support the HR team in the development and implementation of other HR initiatives or projects.
- Generate specialized reports in Workday, Dayforce and Taleo and provide HRIS support to the team as needed.
- Process Workday updates and coordinate with Global HR Shared Services team to ensure all changes are accurate.
- Ensure all employee documentation is properly saved in shared folders and are filed properly in personnel files.
- Coordinate EED&I activities including survey administration, scheduling employee sessions, postings.
- Draft Job verification/confirmation letters
- Support L&D initiatives as needed
- Assist with new hire on-boarding. 1 hour onboarding session/2 weeks for Dayforce and benefits overview.
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resource Management
- 2-3 years of HR experience
- CHRP designation is an asset
- Familiarity with HRIS required, preferably Workday and Dayforce
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Powerpoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams
- Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act and labour laws
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Resourceful, self-starter
- Proactive, creative, with a strong work ethic
