We are looking for talented undergraduate students to join SLC Management, the asset management division of Sun Life Financial Inc., for a fulfilling summer internship. Our ideal candidate has a desire to learn and embrace challenge and change and is eager to explore different roles and business areas. Natural leadership skills and an ability to work independently while thriving in a team setting are key attributes for success.
SLC Management is a global institutional asset manager, with offices in major cities across Canada the United States, Europe and Asia, that provides innovative and diversified investment solutions to meet our clients’ evolving needs. SLC Management manages over $250 billion of assets comprised of four asset pillars: Public Fixed Income, Private Fixed Income, Real Estate Equity and Real Estate Debt.

Program details
The SLC Management summer intern program, provides a unique opportunity to gain specialized investment experience. You will spend your summer working with one asset class within SLC Management and have the opportunity to work on new investments, manage the portfolio of existing investments, and work directly with senior managers to help achieve our clients needs. During your tenure, you will gain critical investment, finance and business skills, and gain knowledge of the financial services industry and a broad understanding of Sun Life’s products, clients and business strategy.
Competencies
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Business or Economics undergraduate program
- A passion for learning, taking initiative and working collaboratively across various cultures to achieve results
- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
