The Senior Developer will report to the Creative Director, and in practice will work alongside them as a trusted advisor. You will work with and mentor a fellow developer, while also working closely with art directors, videographers, designers and writers to translate designs flawlessly into code - within our CMS systems. You will become intimately familiar with our current CMS systems and processes, and work to realize the vision of our various teams by developing new code or recommending API solutions, as appropriate. This position is perfect for a well-rounded, ambitious developer who is always looking for a new challenge.
You will:
- Contribute ideas at a strategic level to positively impact the Foundation’s capabilities
- Lead website development and ongoing site management and maintenance, using two key CMS systems: Kentico and Raisin.
- Lead email development, QA & distribution across a number of PMCF brands and initiatives – using Mailchimp
- Play an integral role in departmental digital planning and execution, to maximize efficiency and ensuring effective analytics are returned from our digital properties.
- Work with outside vendors to continually optimize and improve our digital platforms and integrations
- Follow industry best practices, including AODA compliance, SEO, tagging/tracking, version control, site governance, etc.
- Mentor and provide support to fellow developer and uphold a high standard for coding and development
You have:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, working within a digital or integrated agency environment or integrated in-house team
- Experience working with agency partners on pixel tracking and campaign tracking across mediums, with proven ability to quickly trouble-shoot challenges in tracking as they arise
- Experience developing consumer-facing websites for well-known brands
- Experienced in .Net C# programming
and with .Net MVC
- Experienced with Handlebar, SASS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with source control system such as Git, Bitbucket
- Experience in Google Analytics set-up and proactive management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Non-profit fundraising and peer-to-peer events experience considered an asset
- Familiarity working with and expanding on CMS systems; experience using Kentico an asset
