What You Will Do:
As a Logistic Coordinator, you will play a critical role and be responsible for processing and verifying all necessary logistics requirements, overseeing and ensuring all shipping and receiving occurs orderly and remains on schedule.
Specifically, You Will:
- Organize ocean shipments, including full container load and less container load booking, consolidation and shipment prioritization;
- Review freight rates and other related costs to keep all shipments cost-effectively;
- Monitor and track the movement of cargos from the point of origin to the delivery dock;
- Coordinator with vendors and brokers on custom clearance and inspection;
- Follow up the deliveries of open orders and update delivery information incl. estimated departure date, sailing date, estimated arrival date and flag delay information;
- Communicate with suppliers and forwarders to build a close relationship and improve ETA accuracy;
- Coordinate with receiving team on timing and priority and address the receiving issues such as locations, discrepancy, damages, etc.
- Working closely with the Finance team on account payable, freight rate and other related expenses;
- Prepare freight rate analysis and inbound shipment report bi-weekly;
Qualifications:
- College or equivalent degree/diploma in economics, trade, transportation, or supply chain management is preferred;
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant logistics experience in manufacturing;
- Proficiency with MS Office application;
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers courteously and professionally;
- Excellent verbal and written communication coupled with excellent customer service
orientated;
- Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency;
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
