About this opportunity:

 

We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our team! In this position, you'll report to the HR Manager and will be responsible for building impactful relationships with employees and leaders at all levels. You'll put into action your human resources knowledge to support and implement HR initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness and positively impact business results with primary focus on Recruitment.

 

Your responsibilities:

Manage the talent acquisition process for all positions in the organization, i.e., job posting, job offer, references and onboarding.
Update employee files in HRIS system for new hires, changes, transfers, wage changes, and terminations.
Support processes related to new hires, promotions, internal transfers and offboarding
Conduct training such as Violence and Harassment, WHMIS or other topics as required
Provide general administrative support such as preparation of general letters i.e., employment verification, transfer/promotion, and leave letters.
Liaison with H&S Manager on safety issues
Responsible for the administration of the employee benefit plan, including fielding employee questions and enrolment
Assist with the management of the Short-Term Disability, Accommodation, and Benefits programs.
Ensure timely completion of accident and incident reports, keep records of the same and submit reports to WSIB.
In partnership with the HR Manager, respond and address employee concerns and issues and their impact on performance. Determine root causes of issues and recommends appropriate plans for resolution.
Employee relations including conducting investigations as required
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise according to Company Policy, ESA guidelines, and Human Rights.
Other tasks as assigned.

 

Your qualifications:

Post-Secondary Degree or diploma
Professional designation or working towards an asset
3+ years of HR related experience
Advanced skills in MS Office
Knowledge of ADP (an asset)
Ability to work well with all levels of staff
Strong written and oral communication skills
