Role Summary:
The Global Leadership and Learning (GLL) Centre of Expertise (CoE) is responsible for building capabilities and expertise in the areas of leadership development, change management and core competencies for individual contributors. As new organizational structures, operating models and transformational initiatives are implemented, the focus of this CoE is to collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to develop effective leadership skills and enable continuous learning for all employees.
Reporting to the Director of Business Effectiveness, the Design Analyst performs a wide variety of professional services which include, translation support and coordination (which includes administration of translated content; liaise with translation vendor and design team; version control; and general management of files in CoE SharePoint for global team); coordination of content updates to GLL MFCentral site; Maintenance and archiving of all learning and non-learning program materials; Posting content in GLL MFConnect Community – Connect on Learning; Coordination of design of LINC publication on a quarterly basis; and overall support to GLL communication strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes, coordinates and manages content translation and review for various GLL programs, tools/resources and initiatives by interacting with Design team, HR Shared Services and internal and/or external translation services/vendors
- Manages files and archives all program and initiative files in COE SharePoint ensuring naming conventions are applied and adhered to.
- Manages the flow of all files in GLL SharePoint and ensures accurate version control, in addition to archived content. Essentially acts as gate keeper of the GLL SharePoint.
- Coordinates the MFCentral content update schedule by soliciting COE for updates and program launch information; reviewing materials to ensure accuracy; performing ad hoc updates during off cycle reviews
- Manages the posting of eLearning SCORM files to Compass LMS including coordinating user testing prior to production
- Coordinates and administers mobile applications for learning sustainment
- Manages the design schedule for the quarterly LINC publication by working with external design firm.
- Assists in conducting learning and research and development projects, including developing research format, collecting data, formulating results.
- Actively supports GLL MFConnect community “Connect on Learning” with blog schedule; responses to employee inquiries; etc.
- Supports Business Effectiveness in the execution of the Global Leadership and Learning communications strategy
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:
- Must be highly skilled in the use of Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, SharePoint.
- relationships within GLL COE; HRSS; external vendors and global HR.
- Ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively under stress; ability to perform effectively under competing and/or conflicting demands on time and self in a busy environment; skill and tact in dealing with others.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in pursuing departmental responsibilities.
- Ability to perform moderately complex research work.
- Knowledge management skills would be an asset
- Ability to work with content management software; social media tools and archiving platforms.
- Detail oriented, highly organized
- Experience working on a global team an asset
Problems/Challenges:
- Influencing key stakeholders without direct authority to prioritize GLL CoE timelines and complete the translation and/or review in a timely manner
- Juggling numerous translations for multiple initiatives at the same time and leveraging of various systems and tools to consolidate information/data.
