Campus Recruiter Contract position

We are currently seeking an outstanding Campus Recruiter/Coordinator to join our North American Recruitment team. This role will give you exposure to recruiting coordination and event execution at a large, global organization.


  • Responsible for supporting the co-op recruitment process ensuring the hiring manager’s criteria is satisfied and all roles are filled in accordance to the Universities timelines; (i.e. consult hiring managers through the recruitment process by gathering requirements from hiring manager, liaise with the schools to post and source resumes, schedule interviews of candidates, consult hiring managers on appropriate salary and extend job offers
  • Support coordination of university job postings and candidate interviews, including scheduling with candidates and hiring managers (can be high volume during peak times)
  • Present ideas confidently and build relationships with Hiring managers to expand our programs and partnerships with colleges and professional organizations 
  • Assist in designing and updating of all presentation, orientation, collateral and program materials
  • Manage internal and external application volumes, post hiring requisitions internally and externally, and schedule interviews
  • Input and process student hires through our external vendor managers’ applications
  • Track and monitor campus events and ensure materials are organized
  • Represent Manulife/ John Hancock at Campus Events
  • Monitor team's general inbox; respond to all inquiries coming in from the Business
  • Manage the coordination of onboarding for all student hires 
  • Manage volume of company branded collateral for events and responsible for ordering



  • Completed a University education with Human Resource focus or interest
  • Previous experience in an HR coordinator/specialist role
  • Proven ability handling multiple assignments or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to be independent yet team oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable and ability to work in a changing environment

  • Flexible to travel for campus activities and organization programs as required (evening availability is required). 

Position Dimensions (Organizational Impact):

This role is responsible for recruiting approximately 60 co-op students per semester (3 recruitment terms for Canada and 2 recruitment terms for US.)
