In Retirement Operations, we have employees taking care of six major and critical parts of the business. You would get exposure and learn about all of these in our graduate program and upon successful completion, we would discuss career opportunities for you in one or more of these areas. Participant Contact Centre

Make an impact on peoples’ lives - help people from all over North America achieve their retirement goals by helping them:

Set their retirement goals
Make contributions to their retirement plans and change their investments
Transfer their assets to a new investment when they reach retirement
Access their retirement funds in emergency situations
Set-up participants to self-serve using our many digital options

Processing

The heart of Retirement Operations where we set-up and manage our customers retirement plans
Behind the scenes where we set-up new retirement plans and enroll participants and manage millions of transactions a year.
One of our biggest areas of focus for digitization and automation

Payroll

Help retirement plan administrators across North America with their payroll needs, including contributions to participants’ retirement plans
This is our value-add service offering to our customers, where we provide ease and simplicity with their retirement plan
Opportunity to flex your financial acumen while balancing risk

Sponsor Services

Work with the owners/sponsors of retirement plans, our external business partners and internal colleagues to manage the complex inner workings of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plans – ensuring that they are compliant with various regulating bodies and requirements
Work with our key contacts and business partners to serve our customers, develop trusting and lasting relationships

Plan Implementation

Set-up new businesses for success with Manulife-John Hancock Retirement – from brand new retirement plans to well established retirement plans with hundreds of participants.
In the fast-paced world of new business we work closely with the Advisors that sell our retirement plan products, third-party business partners and our Sales team to ensure our customers have the best first impression of Manulife-John Hancock possible.

Operational Risk

The financial services industry faces a significant amount of risk due to fraud, money-laundering and identify theft, not to mention reputational risk and the simple risk of human error.
Work to minimize risk to the company, protect customers information and assets, while ensuring Manulife-John Hancock’s global reputation.
