We’re looking for Summer Interns!
Succeed as an Emerging Talent at Loblaw! We provide you with opportunities to develop your skills, network and gain knowledge across all of our divisions within the enterprise! Students are also encouraged to participate in events across the enterprise including learning sessions, community events and activities led by our student-led intern committee during the summer term.
Retail Leadership and Operations Summer Intern – What will you do?
Learn and gain hands-on experience across teams in Retail Leadership and Operations
Support teams with activities such as:
- Maintaining store standards to optimize customer experience, drive customer traffic, and positively impact store profitability
- Provide a great customer service experience through leading by example, compelling merchandising standards and a well-trained team.
- Adhere to brand standards, company policy and procedures, ensure operational efficiencies/excellence and accountable for financial objectives.
- Work in collaboration across teams and District Managers to execute directives and maintain brand standards and deliver a great in-store experience for our customers while driving results.
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty and community relationships
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
- Passionate and interested in the retail industry
- Strong technical familiarity with all Microsoft Office programs
- Related academic background, exposure to business related courses would be an asset
- You are between 15 – 22 years old
- You are an existing retail employee at one of Loblaw or Shoppers Drug Mart stores in the Greater Toronto Area.
- You have a minimum High School diploma and looking to start your career in Retail Leadership & Operations
About the internship
Application Deadline: April 7th, 2023
Duration of the internship: May 15th – August 18th, 2023
This is a hybrid position: As of March 2022 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other 3 days in the office.
