Employee Health Services Intern
Job Summary
Provide administrative and data management support to the disability management and ergonomics functions within the organization. This role is responsible for importing and maintaining medical and disability claim data, opening and organizing electronic claim files, and managing the intake and coordination of ergonomic requests and assessments. In addition, the position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, organization, and accessibility of physical and cognitive demands assessment documentation.
This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessibility in supporting the diverse needs of employees navigating medical or disability-related processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Import data and maintain medical/disability claims system
Open electronic claim files and upload medical information
Monitor the Ergonomic Requests inbox
Assist with scheduling ergonomic assessments
Update/organize the Physical Demands Assessment (PDA)/Cognitive Demands Assessment (CDA) files/folders
Purge/clean-up of electronic and paper files.
Job Specifications:
Post secondary education in medical office administration or health related field
Experience working in a medical office environment
Proficiency in Word, Excel, data management
Ability to work independently and as team member
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Hours of Work: 35 ( Hybrid)
